What song makes you feel like you're part of something bigger?
Being a teenager was tough. This song provided hope for better times to come.

What song would you use to describe your current relationship?
I’ve been married a long time now. This song really captures the comfort and ease I’ve found in being in a long term relationship, as well as the playfulness that still exist.
And in your arms I sleep so fine So well do you meet me And you can wake me any time Oh, babe, I’m not that sleepy

Think back to your childhood: What is your earliest music memory? Share that song and your story!
My mother was a huge Elvis Presley fan, so as I young child his music was often playing on an 8-track cassette in the car. The first record I remember owing was Elvis, and I even got to see him live in concert with Mom where I grew up in Huntsville, Alabama in 1977. It must have been his last tour.
This song was the punk rock of it’s day and it still sounds pretty good.

What song reminds you of your first heartbreak?
High school going into my first year of college. Everything changing so much. Wanting to hold onto something. Lives going in different directions literally and figuratively. This song captured those emotions for me.
Look so long at these pictures of you But I never held on to your heart Hoping so long for these words to be true But always just breaking apart My pictures of you

What’s a hidden gem you wish more people knew about?
Believe it or not, Tuscaloosa Alabama had a damn good music scene in the 1980’s and 90’s. One of those bands was Kilgore Trout, named by Rolling Stone as one of their best college bands of 1991. They’re playing for the first time together in a very long time this weekend. Wishing I could be there.

A song from your most listened to artist of the last 20 years.
I was a teenager in the 1980’s so I feel like I’ve literally grown up with U2. We’ve aged alongside one another and their music has been a consistant soundtrack in my life. This song, about Bono’s relationship with his father, helped me to make more sense of mine.
