I arrive pretty late to The Chameleons. I had maybe heard of the them, but did not actually listen to any of their music until the very early 2000s, when I went on an AllMusic and P2P-fueled post-punk deep dive. They remain one of my favorite artists of that genre. I love the cavernous sound and the searching lyrics, and just the overall atmosphere they manage to convey, which is pretty consistent across multiple albums.
