I have only tangentially listened to reggae over the course of my life, not really because of anything related to the music itself, but more out of disdain for the white-boy pseudo hippies who tend to linger around the scene.
That said, if I were forced to name a sub genre that I actually do like, it would have to be dub. I have been deliberately listening to more of it recently, and while it mostly functions (for me) as background music, sometimes I find a track that really strikes me. This is one of those.
