Earlier this year, I stopped drinking, not because it makes me better than anyone else (because it doesn’t). Heck, I haven’t even mentioned it online; this is the first time I’m saying it to the world.

The thing is, it does make me proud that I have taken the first step.

This song has always felt less about judging others and more about drawing a line for yourself. About knowing where you stand, even if that choice looks different from everyone around you. No preaching, no pedestal, just ownership!

Pride doesn’t have to be loud. Sometimes it’s simply about choosing yourself and sticking to it, even knowing it’s something I’ll struggle with, but staying committed to being true to myself.
