One of my favourite childhood memories is waiting for news about the release of more material from Iron Maiden. When my local record store put up this song as an upcoming single from Maiden with no release date, I went to the store every day for any news.

What song do you associate with your biggest accomplishment?

First time I met my wife, we ended up discussing Leonard Cohen. I love his music. But I couldn’t even name a single song of him when she asked for my favourite songs.

That she still gave me her number, bless her.

When No Prayer was released I was so shocked at how bad it was I sold all my Maiden records.

This song kept being played when I was at my local pub, and I hated it. It was a clear sign of how bad Maiden had become.

Then 20 years later my daughter started singing along to this song. And Live, it works. It’s great!

I can’t wait to see Iron Maiden live in London next month.

I was seven years old. Standing in my bed, holding my guitar, rocking to this song.

This song and this album created a new genre. To this day it manages to give me goosebumps.
