Sunday mornings were chore days for us at home. My dad would blast music on the stereo and you could hear it throughout the whole house.

Wouldn't call it my favorite but it is my weekly musical discovery, which coincidentally is her debut album. Such a cool and unique voice! Just documenting this finding for future reference : )

What’s a hidden gem you wish more people knew about?

Over the last year, I've turned back to the radio as a source of music discovery. After years of the streaming platforms' echo chamber, I had grown tired of going back to the same music over and over. This is one of those radio discoveries I enjoy because it blends soul music with Latin influences, such as boleros, in a modern way.

What song reminds you of your first heartbreak?

The whole album and the short film they released with it had a great impact on me at that time.

Describe your favorite summer as a kid using a single song.

When I was 12, my family did a long road trip around Florida, and I remember my dad had gotten Dido's "Life for Rent" album, which had recently been released. He would play it on repeat for the rest of the trip. I think the songs were drilled into my subconscious after that. I guess I appreciate the lyrics more as an adult, but still listening to any song brings me back to that trip.

What song best matches the energy of today?

Windy, rainy, and cloudy in Germany the last couple of days. For some reason, I find this song to be cozy.
