One of the useless bits of information I've gathered over the years is that nostalgia originally meant something more like homesickness....and I've got a better answer for this question

What song makes you feel homesick for a place you've never lived?

This song, as I understand it, is about the southern states of America. I first heard it when we were still living in London, and every time I heard it Johnny was, in my head, singing about Wiltshire accents rather than Southern ones
