It's Friday, the last day of the work week. For me there is only one anthem for Fridays.

My first crucial track was my favorite song but ironically that song is not part of my favorite album. It is possible that the first album I bought with my own money was the self named album, Boston. Every time I hear More Than A Feeling I am immediately taken back to my early teens.
I am feeling a bit nostalgic today after writing a draft of a blog post about the very first computer that I ever owned.
What was your favorite song in high school? Why did it resonate?
I already posted my favorite song from high school, Come Sail Away by Styx. Today instead I will share the song that first came to mind when I think of high school. When I was in the eighth grade (1979) my high school football and girls basketball teams won Michigan state championships (Class D) and the football team repeated winning the next year. In that time two songs by Queen were popular, We Are The Champions and Another One Bites the dust.
It's my birthday today, so I have been thinking about what is an appropriate song for today as I start my 60th lap around the sun. Amy Grant is one of the musicians who was part of the sound track of my late teens and early twenties. Curious Thing is not one of her well known songs, but it has been a theme for me; the ad hoc nature of life that surprises an some times disappoints. Life is a curious thing!
Hello! This is my first entry on my new Crucial Tracks profile and I am starting with my favorite song, Come Sail Away by Styx. Whenever I hear this song I remember the dreams that I have had and their importance as a source of hope.
