My physics teacher in my Junior year of highschool was aghast that I hadn't heard Local H or Deftones yet

He gave me his CDs and it was my homework to listen to both of them over the weekend.

I am so glad I did cause they opened me up to a wide world of music I was missing. I hope kids these days have someone like that on their life.

In college, I would drive from Newark Ohio to Columbus on Friday nights to crash with my brother before we went to the OSU football game the next day.

The nights usually involves far too much drinking, as is sadly normal for college.

My brother would wake me up at 7am with this song, blaring as loud as he could, so we could go get breakfast, buy booze for the pregame party, and then get to partying.

There were at least a few times where we were on the roof of a house shooting water balloons out of a 2 person slingshot onto the street

I was scrolling through youtube this morning with my coffee, and it recommended a mix of music based on Rahzel. I haven't listened to his stuff in a while, but when I was in high school I would go through this album multiple times a day.

And in looking up his wikipedia page, I just learned he was the voice of SSX and SSX Tricky!

The movie that goes with this song - Outside Out - is one of my favorites.

It may be because every time I watched it I was very much under the influence of mind altering substances, but it has been a different movie every time, which weirdly fits into the narrative of the movie.
