Share a song that tells a great story.
I wasn't sure where I was going to go with today's post, but this AM I discovered Angie McMahon, thanks to a Public Tracks post from Rob Lindsey...
That got me digging into her last full length album, Light, Dark, Light Again, which is absolutely amazing. Kind of a combination between Florence & the Machine and Sharon Van Etten. Just beautiful songwriting and lyrics.
I had to pick a song of hers, so I selected "Staying Down Low" as it told a relatable story of dealing with depression... written in a way that you can hear someone talking to a partner who is struggling, or someone talking to themself, to get through the low they are experiencing. Beautiful and real.
