The first record I ever spent my own money on was Michael Jackson’s Dangerous in 6th grade. A few weeks later, I heard Nirvana and, well… things changed. But, to be honest, this opening track still hits pretty hard thanks to Teddy Riley’s signature New Jack Swing production.
