What’s a remix or cover you like more than the original?
So, covers can be a lot of fun, but usually they—at best—fall into the category of interesting experiment rather than adding anything new to the way we hear a song. The reality is that it is exceedingly rare for a cover version to outdo the original, particularly when that original is by a legendary artist…like Prince. But Sinéad’s version is definitive, timeless, and an undeniable improvement on the original.
